PLEASE READ ALL PHOTO TIPS TO ENSURE YOU GET THE BEST QUALITY BOOK.
Please do not stress though. We can use most photos, however if you follow the tips below it will ensure the quality of your book is top notch!
• Photos can be taken on a digital camera or mobile device such as an iPhone or iPad.
• Where possible use an original photo, not a photo downloaded or screen grabbed from Instagram or Facebook as these photos have a lower print quality. If this is for a gift and you have no other photo options aside from Facebook or Instagram, just make sure it is a photo nice and close to the Child's face. A good tip to work out if it will print well is to zoom in on the face on your phone. If it doesn’t look blurry when you zoom, it should print fine 🙂
• Please DO NOT crop or edit the photo in any way as this reduces the print quality of the photo. We can do this on our end without compromising the quality.
• If you are getting a photo from a friend get them to email it to you rather than text it as texting reduces the resolution of a photo. Make sure they attach the photo at it's "Actual Size", not small, medium or large.
• If you are taking the photo specifically for this book (recommended), please take it in front of a plain background, preferably inside with lots of natural light to ensure there is no shadowing on the face.
• Take the photo as close to the face as possible and make sure the entire face and hair are visible.
• There should be nothing obstructing the child's face in the photo (e.g. hat, hand, object).
• For children with long hair, cropping their faces works best if their hair is in a ponytail, high bun, pigtails or plaits that are situated in front of their shoulders. Cropping does not work well if their hair is out and behind their shoulders.
• Once you have uploaded your photo we will proof the image and if there are any issues with the photo we will contact you.
